If you are looking for a top New York restaurant with fine eating, and a fun atmosphere then look no further and set your first destination sites on Mars 2112 Restaurant and Bar. Eating in New York City has never been more interesting than when setting your coordinates to Mars 2112.
Mars 2112 is a theme restaurant within Manhattan and located within the heart of Times Square. You will feel like you are on Mars in New York. When you arrive there you will be taken into a room and shown a video; it is a four minute informational video on traveling from Earth to our favorite red planet.
Inside of Mars 2112 the servers are dressed up as Aliens, and the restaurant looks like you are underground within the planet Mars. On the walls of there are TV’s displaying the local Mars news, entertainment, and forecasts on “Mars TV.” You may also read up on any Mars news by looking through their local paper “Mars Today.” There is also a gift shop, as well as an entertainment room.
The food is made up to look as exotic as being on board the Starship Enterprise. Although, some of the cost of the meals can be a bit pricey. The cheapest meal price is $12.95 (excluding the Kid’s Menu). Desserts has such cosmic names as The Milky Way Chocolate Mousse Cake, Mercury Oreo Miracle, Martian Mommas Warm Apple Pie, etc. There is also a $2 charge to get into the New York theme restaurant as an entertainment fee.
The Mars 2112 website could be improved upon though. having such an exciting theme for a restaurant and bar; the website can be made more enticing for visitors. On the website is just some pictures of some of the food and drinks instead of a menu list. The restaurant is somewhat out of the way and there there have been some confusion as to where to go when arriving at the restaurant.
